HR Event

On June 2nd, the Danish-French Chamber of Commerce organized a special HR event.

Four great speakers introduced us to four HR issues : recruitment, career management, skills development and legal issues.

Aurelie Søgaard-Christensen, HR Recruitment Partner at Novo Nordisk A/S, talked about “How HR support Managers select employees and future leaders in Novo Nordisk”.
Aurélie gave an insight into the recruitment process in Novo Nordisk:
- Recruiting for growth
- The key role of the HR Partner in this process
- How to move beyond “post and pray”
- "Being a pharmaceutical company, we never compromise with quality”.

Cécile Bontoux, HR Professional -  HR Consultant in the Danish-French Chamber of Commerce., talked about "Recruitment & Career Development".
While previous generations were loyal to "their" companies and progressed due to internal promotions, new generations anticipate multiple career moves and follow a new trend called “career self-management”. Launched in the mid 80’s in France, Career Guidance and Development program (“Bilan de compétences”) became a major tool in managing careers. Cécile introduced the specific features of this program, its applications and benefits both for individuals and companies.

Veronica (Voss) de Ricqlès, HR Manager at Coop Trading.
For years, companies have tended to spend more and more ressources on training programs. Is this really the most efficient way to develop the capacity of employees? Veronica introduced the learning model implemented in Coop Trading: the 70-20-10 method.
Lessons learned by successful and effective managers are roughly:
- 70% through job experience
- 20% from other people (mainly the boss)
- and only 10% from traditional training

Rasmus Lund, Managing partner in MAQS Law Firm in charge of strategy and HR.
Rasmus talked about legal pitfalls related to recruitment, career planning and skills development. Rasmus explained what is allowed and not allowed when recruiting, and how we can use the social media in this aspect.
