Business Unit Controller for the Nordics - Savencia

Savencia is looking for an experienced and self-driven Business Unit Controller for the Nordics to join its Copenhagen office. This independent role is key to support our business development in the region and offers a broad responsibility scope as well as further development opportunities. Speaking Danish is not a requirement.   

About us

Savencia is an independent and family-based French group from the agri-food sector, that is present in more than 120 countries, generates 5.5 billion euro net sales yearly and employs 23,100 people worldwide.  It develops high quality brands and products: cheese, dairy products, chocolate, meat, and fish products. You may know some of our cheese brands on the Danish market: Le Rustique, Coeur de Lion, Saint-Agur.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the General Manager, you will be part of our small team located in Copenhagen and coordinate closely with sales and marketing functions in the Nordics, our support entities in Europe and with the headquarters in France. Covering the 4 Nordic countries, your missions will mainly consist in:

• Providing the General Manager, Key Account Managers and Marketing with proper information to control business and make right commercial decisions.
• Analysing and exploiting financial monthly results.
• Preparing and constructing the long-term plan and budget as well as financial projections.
• Contributing to the Supply Chain/ Customer Service process.

Managing ad hoc projects in relation to finance will also be part of your portfolio.

Main tasks

Most of your tasks will be performed with the support of our located in Prague shared service center that is in charge of accounting and invoicing.

• Providing information to optimise business
  • providing monthly analysis on the business unit activities.
  • providing any ad hoc financial analysis needed to make proper commercial decisions.
  • detecting problems to solve/opportunities to take via own financial analysis.
• Long term Plan and Budget
  • designing the frame, input needs and preparation timing.
  • taking responsibility for financial construction.
  • providing management with assessment, simulations, allowing proper planning decisions.
  • presenting financial results and reporting to the group.
• Supervision and control of financial monthly results
  • ensuring relevant data are taken into account by the financial controlling systems.
• Managing cash:
  • ensuring hedging options for the different currencies in accordance with the group's policy.       
• Contribution to Supply the Chain/Customer Service in coordination with our shared service center:
  • management of claims and supply chain non-conformities process.
  • management of sales forecasts.
  • analysis of overall supply chain performance and contribution to improvement solutions.

Qualifications

• 5-year experience in a controlling position in an international group.
• Full proficiency in English. Language proficiency in French as well as prior experience working with France are a plus. Danish proficiency is not a requirement.
• Capacity for analysis and synthesis.
• Autonomy and polyvalence.
• Experience and rigor in process management.
• Project management and coordination skills.
• Pro-activity in problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Teamwork with internal and external partners.
