Gala 2018

On May 24th, the Danish-French Chamber of Commerce organized its gala dinner at Klampenborg Galopbane for the second year in a row.

Under a beautiful, sun-filled sky, the invited guests started the evening with a tasting of a champagne provided by our sponsor, Pernod Ricard.During the aperitif, we had the chance of welcoming amateurs of vintage Renault cars. Among other cars, the guests could enjoy the view of a Dauphine. Models all dressed in Simone Pérèle had taken a seat in these vintage cars.

After the aperitif, the guests sat down to dinner, each sponsor of the evening having their own table(s) for any partners, employees and clients they wished to invite to the dinner.

A big thank you to our main sponsors of the evening:
- Thales
- Renault
- Legrand
- Simone Pérèle
- Total

And to our supporting sponsors:
- Pernod Ricard
- Air France

During the dinner, Stéphanie Surrugue, the famous Danish-French journalist, was very kind to pay tribute to Prince Henrik, protector of the Chamber. A big thank you to her as well.

Between the main course and the dessert, we went outdoors again to watch the Danish-French Grand Prix. The race ended in a duel between the horse from Legrand and the horse from Renault, the latter winning with a short head. Well done to both.

Our guests then attended an exceptional fashion show with models dressed in the Simone Pérèle collection. Given the number of photos taken by the participants, it is fair to say that all the top-end and elegant lingerie by Simone Pérèle seduced us all. A big thank you to this French lingerie brand for their splendid show.

The evening ended with an award ceremony for the Air France Export Prix. This year, Les Grands Chais de France were rewarded as the French brand having achieved the greatest success in Denmark. Annai Salazar, key account manager in Denmark, received the prize for her work and the development of the brand. The first French exporter of wine and alcohol in the world, this brand today alone represents 20% of all imports of French wine in Denmark with an almost 30% increase since 2015. A huge bravo to them for their success.

The Danish brand rewarded with the prize this year was Søstrene Grene. As a matter of fact, the Danish group has already opened about 30 stores in France and plans to further increase this number. Apart from the Nordic countries, the French market has become an important market for the Danish brand. Bjørn Bach Eriksen, COO, and Martin K. Lundgaard, CFO, were handed the prize by the French Ambassador to Denmark, François Zimeray. Congratulations to Søstrene Grene for this success story in France.

After the handing of the prize for the most original flag awarded by Simone Pérèle, the evening ended with music played by a DJ, which allowed the guests who wished to dance to continue the evening until 1 in the morning.

Please find below a link to the pictures of the evening. It is not possible to download the pictures directly, but if you would like to have one or more pictures in particular, you can just write us indicating the number of the picture that you would like and then we will send it to you by email.

Once again, thank you to all of you for your participation and until next year for another edition of this event!

Special thank you to Thomas Mougeolle for the pictures taken during the event.
