AIR FRANCE RESUMES FLIGHTS FROM BILLUND TO PARIS

Air France and KLM continue to increase the number of flights from Denmark to the hubs in Amsterdam and Paris. From the 17th of August, Air France will resume flights between Billund and Paris. From the beginning of September, there will be 117 departures to choose from in Denmark against only 79 at the beginning of August.
"We are very pleased to announce that we are now also resuming flights from Billund to Paris. Our goal is to be close to the communities and support local businesses. We look forward to welcoming both business and leisure travelers from the regions of Western Denmark on board again. We fly from three Danish airports, and via our hubs in Amsterdam and Paris, customers get an easy connection to our global network ", says Anita Wagner Feddersen Sales Manager Air France KLM Denmark.

This is Air France and KLM's network from August - September 2020 from Denmark:
• Billund to Amsterdam increases from 14 to 28 weekly flights
• Billund to Paris increases from 2 to 7 weekly flights
• Aalborg to Amsterdam increases from 14 to 21 weekly flights
• Copenhagen to Amsterdam increases from 28 to 35 weekly flights
• Copenhagen to Paris increases from 21 to 26 weekly flights

"We are very much looking forward to seeing Air France again at Billund Airport, where the route to Paris has been missing. More and more airlines are returning to the airport as the demand for travel gradually increases. Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris is not only an important hub from which you can travel on to the whole world, but the route is also central for Danish companies, including the entire Danish offshore industry, ”says Jan Hessellund, CEO. director of Billund Airport.
Air France and KLM have chosen to expand the number of destinations first, so that customers have the widest possible selection. By the end of the summer, we will be at up to 85% of our usual capacity. “We have lately seen an increasing demand, therefore we continue to increase our flights in a safe and controlled way. At the same time, we are adapting to supply, demand and travel constraints, all of which are subject to greater and faster changes than ever before. ”Says Anita Wagner Feddersen Sales Manager Air France KLM Denmark.

Health and safety: Safety remains important. Air France and KLM have taken some steps to ensure that flights are safe for both passengers and staff. For example, face masks are mandatory when boarding as well as during the flight. Body temperature control is performed on departure at some of Air France's international destinations. There is extra hygiene equipment on board, and our planes are cleaned extra thoroughly. The air on board is quickly cleaned using HEPA filters. Before departure, we strongly recommend all our passengers to check the latest updates regarding health requirements and entry documents required at the official locations of each country included in the journey (departure, arrival and between landings). Sustainability: Air France and KLM have been leaders in the development of sustainability for many years. For the past 15 years, Air France KLM has been at the top of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. As we have achieved our 2020 targets earlier than planned, we have set new ambitious targets to reduce CO2 emissions to 50% per passenger / kilometer compared to 2005 levels. The reorganization of the Air France KLM group following the global Covid-19 crisis includes further measures to improve sustainability.
