IT Support Engineer, Chanel Scandinavia
We are looking for an experienced and service minded IT Support Engineer to serve as the lead computer technician for CHANEL in Scandinavia. You will provide first level technical support to users concerning hardware, software, and networking problems.
You will report directly to the IT Manager for Scandinavia. The position is based in Copenhagen and requires some traveling, about 15%.
Work will generally be performed using computer equipment in an indoor office or boutique environment. Setup or maintenance of some peripheral equipment may require work in areas such as data rooms or wiring closets with restricted room or movement.
Your main responsibilities are:
Allocation and Maintenance of IT Equipment
• Install, configure and update miscellaneous hardware and software such as memory, network cards, adapter cards, printers, as well as new work station setup and installs.
• Must be familiar and able to install, troubleshoot and maintain computer network server programs to include but not limited to Windows based operating systems.
• Assist with the setup and installation of new devices for users and tests configurations prior to installation.
Diagnose Network, Hardware and Software Issues
• Oversee and perform network support issues such as installation and maintenance of network printers, low level maintenance, management of disk space, etc.
• Schedule, monitor and log server backups
• Performs other related tasks as required, prioritize and escalate issues as necessary based on severity and immediacy
IT Equipment
• Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects
• Order and store equipment and stock
• Schedule upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems
• Ensure that software licensing laws are adhered
• Secure data from internal and external attack.
• Document and maintain IT Inventory
• Responsible for all tagging of inventory
• Keep meticulous records on the age of each machine on the network
Review and Resolve IT Helpdesk Requests
• Be the “face” of the helpdesk.
• Respond to computer problems; troubleshoots computer problems, makes repairs, and provides technical support to computer users.
• Provide general end user training
Key Competencies and skills
• Proven experience as IT Support Engineer or similar role
• Ability to multi task and work efficiently in a fast-paced, IT Helpdesk environment
• Possessing creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work appropriately.
• Outstanding communication abilities • Process improvement,
• Technical experiences of Ms Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft SQL, Cegid Business Retail
Global
Collaborate with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, supply chain and finance;
Languages
• Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, English
• French notions would be a plus
