On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, the 8th of March, the Women’s Committee of the Chamber is delighted to invite you to a conference with the international theme of this year which is "DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”.

We have decided to have several views on this topic presented by giving the floor to different kinds of profiles:

- The first part of the presentation will have a professional approach of the topic. Indeed technology has evolved over the years and nowadays technology covers a lot more than merely engineering, as an increasing amount of questions regarding ethics and emotional intelligence emerge. In order to be able to reach the next level of innovation diversity is key and it is very important to bring people with different backgrounds into the tech industry. Therefore, absolute gender diversity is crucial as well. Dorthe Kerschus, Client Executive Partner at Atos will be telling us more about how the company works to develop this diversity.  Learn more about Dorthe.

- The second part of the conference will highlight how technology is enabling women around the world to realize their rights. Within this subject we have been given the chance to welcome two speakers:

  • Helle Malmvig, senior researcher at the Danish Institute for International Studies. She will be focusing on how women in Iran are currently using digital means such as social media and technology to gain awareness about Iranian women's protests and predicament. Learn more about Helle's profile.
  • Additionally, we will be welcoming Tahmina Salik who is the co-founder & chairperson of NGO PAREI, a nonprofit organization working to eliminate poverty, promote gender equality and create better opportunities for Afghan people.  She leads the Danish-Afghan women & diaspora forum (DAKDIF) where she advocates for women’s rights in Denmark and Afghanistan. Learn more about Tahmina Salik.

The conference will be introduced by the French Ambassador HE Christophe Parisot.
