Klampenborg Galopbane
Klampenborg Galopbane is one of Denmark’s most breathtaking sporting venues; not only as a racecourse, but also as a pioneering meeting and event venue.
With more than a 100-year old history, Klampenborg Galopbane is a true institution in the Danish sporting industry. The first horse race was hosted in Copenhagen in 1770 at the initiative of King Christian VII’s English-born Queen Caroline Mathilde. The track as we know it today was inaugurated in 1910, the same year that the Royal Stand was opened after being moved from the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900.
