President Macron's visit

President Macron's state visit to Denmark on the 28th and 29th of August was a great success and the Chamber is pleased to have taken an active part as co-organizer of the meeting between President Macron and the world of Danish business in the premises of Dansk Industri on the morning of August 29th. It was thus our president President Anders Torbøl, who made the concluding intervention at the debate at Dansk Industris premises between Anders Samuelsen, the Danish Foreign Minister, Bruno Lemaire, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Patrick Pouyanné, CEO of the Total Group,  Mr. Pierre-Andre de Chalendar, CEO of the Saint Gobain Group, and Mr. of the Danish group Demant on the theme European Values in International Trade and Economy.

Anders Torbøl ceased this occasion to thank Bruno Lemaire and his Danish counterpart for their active cooperation during the last two years to attempt to remedy the lack of a dual  tax agreement between France and Denmark. A theme, which was taken up by President Macron in his farewell speech in the afternoon, where he expressed the wish to see a dual tax agreement concluded between the two countries during spring 2019.

It was also during the visit of President Macron that the Chamber of Commerce participated in the establishment of a cooperation named De Facto to promote the concept of commercial foundations in France, signed by the participants in the presence of Mr Anders Samuelsen and Mr Bruno Lemaire. Indeed, in France, there is a great interest in this concept and the National Assembly has adopted the new rules to facilitate the creation of commercial foundations in France.

Please find below pictures of the signing of the convention with Pierre-Yves Jullien on the left and Anders Torbøl on the right.
