Sales Manager Nordics

We are looking for a Sales Manager Nordics that will maintain and develop our portfolio in Denmark and manage our development in the Nordics.

Do you have experience in furniture, lighting, interior design or decoration sectors, and a strong sales skill set? Maybe this is your chance to join a renowned French object editor with ambition to grow in the Nordics.

We are looking for a Sales Manager Nordics that will maintain and develop our portfolio in Denmark and manage our development in the Nordics.

About us

You will be informed about our identity later in the recruitment process but for now, you may be interested in this key information: our group distributes top-end products in 80 countries worldwide to B to B customers through two channels, Wholesale and Contract (hotels, restaurants, etc.). We have a turnover of more than 30 million euros, and are enjoying a sustained growth. The Nordic countries are our main export zone. Our brands are recognized for the quality of their products, their assertive artistic direction and the performance of their supply chain.

Your mission

You will be part of the commercial team covering France and the Nordics (7 persons) and work closely with our marketing, sales administration, logistics and engineering teams located at our headquarters in Paris. With their support and under the supervision of the Sales Director France and Nordics, we expect you to:

  • Develop and implement our offline sales strategy in the Nordics in our Wholesale and Contract channels. This includes analysing market potentials, proposing relevant sales and marketing strategies/policies for each type of customer, and developing our sales activity in Denmark with a business owner spirit.
  • Oversee the adaptation/implementation of our European Wholesale online strategy in the area by providing information on local markets, and by being the contact person for our local partners.
  • Manage sales agents and distribution partners in other Scandinavian countries. This includes assessing the relevance of the agent model, setting sales objectives and liaising between these and our headquarters.
  • Promote our brand to key players at local and international public events in the Nordic area but also, if relevant, in other European countries. This includes organising events in our showroom in Copenhagen, with the support of our headquarters.

About you

  • You have a strong interest and knowledge in our business area (furniture, lighting, decoration or interior design) as well as insight in Scandinavian markets.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in sales and proven negotiation skills. Experience of the retail sector, B to B sales and/or of our distribution channels is a plus.
  • You are proficient in English and Danish (or Swedish). Knowledge of the French work culture and/or experience working in multicultural environments would be assets.
  • We welcome diversity and eclectic profiles. We don’t expect you to have a specific academic background.
  • You are autonomous, self-motivated, organised and have analytical skills.
  • You have good communication/pedagogical skills and like working in a team.

The job requires traveling 2-3 days a week, mainly for short distance trips, as well as occasionally visiting our headquarters in Paris and attending international fairs. When not travelling, you will preferably work from our showroom in Copenhagen or otherwise from home.

What we offer

  • Joining a recognised group selling top-end quality products and a growing business.
  • Being part of a human-sized group (100 people) with a trust-based and horizontal management, and an international scope.
  • A full-time contract with an attractive salary package, including pension and in-kind benefits.
